  1. Order without risks

    You can return delivered goods within 14 days of receipt, without risk, and without the need to state a reason for such. Products manufactured especially for you with a name on them, and unsealed CDs, CD-ROMs, DVDs and hygiene products are excluded from the above. You are entitled to your statutory right of withdrawal as described below. You can use the pre-printed withdrawal form on the return receipt to exercise your right of withdrawal. You will pay the postage costs for the return shipment.

    We are naturally interested in why you are returning the item. Therefore, you can list your reasons for return on the returns note.

  2. Right of withdrawal

    Right of cancellation

    You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without stating any reasons. The period for cancellation is 14 days beginning with the day in which you or a third party named by you, who is not the carrier, takes or took the last goods into possession.

    To exercise your right of cancellation, you must contact us (Jako-o GmbH, August-Grosch-Strasse 28-38, 96476 Bad Rodach, Germany, Telephone: +49 9564 92 96 00 01, Fax: +49 9564 / 929 66 25 00,, email address: eu-kontakt@jako-o.com) by submitting a clear declaration of your decision to withdraw from the contract (e.g. a letter sent in the mail, by fax, or email). You may use the provided withdrawal form (available at www.jako-o.com/widerruf) however, this is not mandatory.

    In order to meet the withdrawal deadline, if you send us a message concerning your exercising of the right to withdrawal prior to the withdrawal deadline, this shall be deemed as sufficient.

    Consequences of cancellation

    If you withdraw from this contract, we will immediately reimburse all payments we have received from you, including delivery costs (except for any additional costs incurred by selecting a different delivery method than the cheapest form of standard delivery that we offered) and within a maximum of fourteen days from the date of receipt of your notice to cancel this contract with us. We will use the same method of payment that you used in the original transaction with regard to the reimbursement, unless we have expressly agreed otherwise with you; however, you will not be charged any fees for the reimbursement under any circumstances. We may not issue reimbursement until we have received the returned goods, or until you have demonstrated that you have returned the goods, whichever is earlier.

    You must promptly send back or hand over the goods and under no circumstances may this be later than fourteen days from the date on which you notified us of your withdrawal from this contract. The deadline shall be considered as met if you sent the goods prior to the expiry of the period of fourteen days. You will bear the cost of returning the goods. The cost is estimated to be a maximum of 115.00 EUR for goods delivered by courier.

    It will only be necessary to pay for any diminished value of the goods, when such loss in value is deemed to be not due to the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods upon examination, but rather due to the handling of the goods.

    Exclusion or premature termination of the right of withdrawal

    The right of withdrawal shall not apply to contracts

    • concerning the supply of goods that are not prefabricated, and for which an individual choice or decision by the consumer is required for their production, or which are clearly tailored to the personal needs of the consumer;
    • concerning the supply of goods that can spoil quickly or whose expiration date would soon pass.

    The right of withdrawal shall expire prematurely in contracts

    • concerning the supply of sealed goods which are unsuitable for returns for reasons of health or hygiene if they have been opened after delivery;
    • concerning the supply of goods that were inseparably mixed with other goods after delivery due to their nature;
    • concerning the supply of audio or video recordings or computer software in a sealed package, if the seal was removed after delivery.
  3. Delivery Terms/Shipping Costs:

    We will charge the following amounts for postage and packing: 7.95 EUR to Belgium, France, Italy, Denmark, Great Britain, Luxembourg or the Netherlands; 14.95 EUR to Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Hungary, Bulgaria or Romania.

    We do not deliver to the Canary Islands, Malta and Cyprus for customs reasons.

     

    Delivery

    By parcel service (GLS, DPD, UPS): within 8-10 working days of receipt of your order, provided that all the items are available. Other delivery times are given in the item description.

    By courier: within 4-6 weeks. You must enter your telephone number when you decide on a delivery date for courier deliveries.

    We will delivery big and bulky items via carrier if the recipient assumes the carrier costs.
    We will charge the following shipping surcharges for courier deliveries, including customs/import duties and taxes. Delivering items by courier within Europe currently costs 45 EUR. The corresponding shipping surcharge for the country of delivery is then added on per item. This is currently distributed as follows:
    Shipping zone 1: 0 EUR per item to Belgium, Luxembourg, or the Netherlands;
    Shipping zone 2: 35 EUR per item to Denmark, Italy, or the Czech Republic;
    Shipping zone 3: 50 EUR to Bulgaria, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain or Hungary.
    Shipping zone 4: 70.00 EUR to Great Britain or Portugal.

    Personalized items take longer to deliver (approx. 4 weeks), and they cannot be returned or refunded.

  4. Warranties and Guarantees

    The legal warranty is 2 years and begins on the date of delivery, i.e. receipt of the goods by the buyer. In case of problems, please contact our Customer Service Center for help and advice.

    JAKO-O guarantees in accordance with the following provisions, that any JAKO-O furniture delivered to you, in which the "10 Year Guarantee" is listed in the product description, shall be free from material or workmanship defects for a period of 10 years after delivery (guarantee period).

    JAKO-O shall repair or deliver new or reconditioned parts for any alleged faults at its sole discretion and at its own cost. Other claims, especially for damages against JAKO-O are excluded.

    Your contractual or other legal rights, in particular warranty rights against JAKO-O, shall not be affected by this guarantee.

    Claims under this guarantee shall only exist if

    the product shows no sign of damage or wear caused by deviating from one of the normal provisions of JAKO-O (in accordance with the instructions for use), especially any typical, natural or normal wear and tear, any damage caused by any sharp, hot or damp objects, damage due to standing moisture, willful damage, or improper handling, e.g. incorrect cleaning agent;
    the product has not been previously modified by the guarantee holder or a third party, or improperly repaired or assembled;
    only approved JAKO-O accessories were added onto the product.

    Guarantee claims can only be processed by handing over or returning the product to JAKO-O. Please contact our Customer Service Center in advance (Tel.: 09564 929 603 87; Fax: 09564 929 66 25 00; email: kundenservice(at)jako-o.de) to discuss your guarantee claim. We will pay the return costs for justified guarantee claims.

    The original invoice listing the date of purchase must be submitted together with the guarantee claim.

    This guarantee shall be valid to the aforementioned extent and under the conditions described above (including the submission of the proof of purchase in the event of resale) for each subsequent and future owner of the product.

  5. Payment Terms

     

    By credit card:

    We accept the following credit cards: MasterCard and Visa. The complete order value will be charged to your credit card upon transfer of your order to our shipping department.

    Once you submit your order you will be asked to enter your credit card details directly by our partner company Computop, the leading provider of secure credit card payment processing. Your data will not be stored in our system. This is why you have to enter your credit card number each time you place an order.

    If any items are returned that have been paid for by credit card, the funds will be automatically credited to your credit card account.

     

    By Direct Debit (SEPA Direct Debit):

    We debit German current accounts. Payment shall be taken 20 days after the invoice date. Costs incurred due to non-payment or rejection of the Direct Debit shall be borne at your expense, as long as we were not responsible for the non-payment or rejection.

    If you return any products, you can choose to either credit the amount to your customer account or your bank account.

    Once we receive the money or your credit card details, we'll dispatch your package.

  6. Prices

    All prices are in euros and do not include country-specific shipping costs (see page 3). VAT at the current rate is included in the prices. Prices are correct at the time of ordering. Errors and omissions excepted!

    We do not give any discounts or rebates on our high-quality products because we calculate our prices fairly, and this is the only way to guarantee long-term quality.

    In principle, we exclude all sale items, coupons, seminars, books and book price-controlled items from discounts, as well as products from the following brands: Puky and UlfBo (Theo Tours).

    Sheet music, cartographic products, certain CDs and e-books as well as combined products in which one of the above products is the main item are also classed as books.

    We collect and process personal data to process orders, maintain customer relations, and for our marketing campaigns.     How to order

    You order in our Shop by:

    1. Adding the selected product to the cart.
    2. Enter your shipping and payment details.
    3. Enter your email address so we can send you confirmation of receipt and the order confirmation later.
    4. The last step is to confirm the accuracy of your information.
    5. Click the "Buy" button at the end.

    Your order will be deemed as binding if you have gone through the online ordering process by entering the required information and clicking on the "Buy" button in the last step of the order. Once you have placed your order, we will send you an email confirming receipt of your order (confirmation of receipt). This confirmation does not constitute acceptance of your order, but is intended to inform you that your order has been received. The purchase contract is concluded when we accept your order by delivering the goods or issuing a delivery note. The contract is concluded exclusively in German.

    We will save your order on our system. If you lose your order documents, simply contact us by email, fax or telephone. We will be happy to send you a copy of your order.

    Returns

    No Minimum Order Value:

    Because we want to satisfy all kinds of wishes, whether big or small, we don't not have a minimum order value at JAKO-O (excluding sponsorship and certain sales).

    Personalized Items

    There is nothing worse than a personalized item coming with the wrong name! Tell us whether we should print the name in block letters (D) or cursive (S).

    These items take longer to deliver, and they cannot be returned or refunded.

    Delivery Address

    It is possible to enter several delivery addresses. If you are at work, or at another address on a short-term basis, we can also deliver to another address or a Hermes PaketShop in your neighborhood.

    If the package is intended as a gift, please let us know. You will receive the invoice, and the package will be delivered to the intended recipient.

    Subsequent deliveries

    Subsequent deliveries can unfortunately happen from time to time. But there's an advantage to them at JAKO-O: As long as your ordered items are listed as "pending" (except furniture and personalized items), you can add items to your order without incurring any additional shipping costs!

    Disposal Instructions

    The Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act came into effect in 2005. It specifies a recyclability and recoverability rate.

    The law forbids disposal of electrical and electronic devices in unsorted residential waste. These devices are labelled with the symbol illustrated below.

    These devices could contain materials that have harmful effects on human health and the environment.

    Private households that no longer want to use this type of device must dispose of it in an environmentally friendly manner.

    Old devices can be disposed of free of charge at municipal collection points.

    Information about the location of these collection points can be obtained from your city or municipal administration.

    Disposal

    The symbol for electrical and electronic devices that require separate disposal is a crossed-out garbage bin.

    Discount for Special Families

    We offer a 5% discount for families with twins/triplets etc., families with 4 children or more, and families with disabled children (from a 50% degree of disability). We require copies of birth certificates or a disabled pass as evidence. We will not archive these details.

    The discount does not apply to coupons, seminars and book price-controlled items, as well as products from the following brands: Puky and UlfBo (Theo Tours). This cannot be combined with collective order benefits. Maximum discount of 5% - not summable.

    Our Test Criteria

    Our children carefully test all of our products. Only articles that we consider to be useful, durable and conducive to child development have any chance of getting into the catalog. We are focused on practical applications in everyday life! Then we check whether the manufacturer complies with the statutory guidelines, so as to curb any health risks. This is a must.

    Shipping costs savings offer: Invite friends, acquaintances and relatives to order with you! You can save a lot of money and we can save a lot of effort, because we only have to pack and ship only one package!

    Please understand that if we have not heard from a customer for over a year, we will no longer send out a catalog to them. Upon request, we will send it out to you without delay.

    Our main catalog is published in August/September, and our Spring/Summer catalog in February.
