They’ve got to be tough, comfortable, long lasting, extendible, combinable, kind to skin, safe and easy-care. And children have to like them too, of course. There's loads of knowledge and experience behind good children’s clothes! At JAKO-O there are a whole lot of people who eat, sleep and breathe clothes, in order to make something a favourite!
These “fashion makers” have to have the right “nose” for the coming season's trends, as far as a year in advance. Which colour palettes are we using, which cuts and patterns are popular, how is the current collection selling? The buyers then travel to suppliers to find out about details like materials and processing, always keeping an eye on the price. Most JAKO-O clothes are manufactured in other European countries. Going to visit manufacturers also gives us an insight into a production - Child labour and inhumane working conditions are obviously totally unacceptable!
Ready-made samples from all over the world finally end up in quality control where they are put through their paces.
A great deal of fiddling about and custom work lies behind every item, because you rightly expect perfect quality and we aren’t satisfied with less! Only when all of the “green lights” have been given do clothes go into production and then maybe into a package making its way to your home...
Our aim:
“To get the right amount of the right clothes at the right time!”
